Michelle Honda Ph.D. D.Sc.

As a Doctor of Holistic Health Sciences, Dr. Honda is a truly remarkable health professional as her clients and others who know her will attest to. Her journey to natural health began over 20 years ago as she became alarmed about a personal health issue and began rapidly self educating herself about many natural health alternatives.

From juicing to herbs to lifestyle choices, Doctor Honda is living proof that we can make a significant difference in our health and wellness by properly watching our diet, controlling our lifestyle and adding some nutritional supplementation. She is by a significant margin one of the top, most knowledgeable and resourceful holistic medicine practitioners in the area.

Her formal educational journey reached its highest pinnacle as she completed her Ph.D. & D.Sc. in Holistic Health Sciences (Doctor of Holistic Health).

Particular areas of expertise are;
She did her Masters Thesis on the major gastrointestinal disorders (Crohn’s, colitis, diverticulitis and Irritable bowel syndrome) and she did her doctorate on diabetes making her an expert at helping these issues holistically.

Other areas where she frequently helps people are menopause, weight loss, thyroid disorders, women’s issues, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, bladder and yeast infections, skin issues and much more.

Additionally, she is a registered nutritional consultant practitioner (RNCP), a Master Herbalist and an IIPA certified Iridologist. This unique combination of background combined with her vast knowledge of disease, bio-chemistry and nutrition makes Doctor Honda a truly amazing resource and practitioner!

Ron has always had a strong personal interest in health and wellness including supplementation of vitamins, minerals and algae. Originally from Northern California, his background has largely been in business and marketing where he applies that experience to the development of Renew You.

Working closely in conjunction with his wife Michelle, his passion went into overdrive since the introduction of the Quantum Biofeedback device. Ron quickly realized the system's phenomenal potential to impact health and is very passionate about trying to make a difference in people’s lives. It is Ron's belief that the Quantum Biofeedback device is the most significant invention to the world of alternative and complimentary health to be developed in the last 100 years or more!

Dr. Wei Xu (MD China) (pronounced “Way” “Shoo”)
Acupuncture Doctor

Dr. Way is a rare and uniquely experienced health practitioner from the standpoint that she is a practitioner of Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine here in Canada while also being a licensed medical doctor (internal medicine / western medicine) in China!

She was a medical doctor in China for 15 years prior to emigrating here with her husband. 15 years of that experience was as an attending hospital physician where acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) were used “hand in hand” together with western medicine (pharmaceuticals and surgery). Though she says it was acupuncture & TCM that were the primary “go to” modalities. We like to say that Dr. Wei has a special balance of knowledge “east meets west”.

It is this vast experience of both disciplines that makes Dr. Wei so popular with her patients and persons who get referred to her.

Ken H. RMT

Chronic Pain Therapy Focus

Ken is yet another highly unique practitioner at Renew You where he specializes in extreme chronic pain situations. As a registered massage therapist in Ontario, Ken adds some Japanese wisdom to his massage work to unravel particularly challenging pain situations – ones where people have not found benefit elsewhere.

His previous work has included being a laboratory blood technician where people are sometimes surprised by Ken’s vast knowledge of physiology, hematology & immunology. He is an avid reader – having studied several hundred titles on chronic pain. It is precisely this broad background that gives Ken unique insight to be able to locate and correct the cause of challenging pain situations.

His training in Japan of two years of massage schooling (which he repeated here to be licensed in Canada) was especially intensive in that HE WAS SUBSEQUENTLY REQUIRED TO APPRENTICE AND WORK UNDER THE TOOTILEDGE OF A “MASTER” FOR FIVE YEARS! It is this type of extensive training that makes Ken’s work so effective. He is also a highly experienced SHIATSU massage practitioner.

It is this author’s personal opinion that this makes Ken’s proven results the equivalent of being a 5 time Super Bowl champion quarterback. He truly stands in a class all by himself.

Rita Cuvay RMT

Rita is one of Renew You’s deep tissue massage specialists. For the well traveled massage client who needs and likes deep manipulation work, Rita is the therapist for you.

She has been practicing massage therapy fulltime at physio, rehab and specialty clinics since 2000. A good deal of her experience was gained working for two years at a specialty injury clinic in Edmonton whose reputation was to handle the particularly challenging cases. During those two years, Rita learned a great deal of advanced specialty techniques not taught in massage school.

Many clients are shocked at how surprisingly effective Rita’s deep tissue work can be. She is highly versatile at straight relaxation massage as well and always seems to know exactly when a client wants complete silence or a bit of conversation.

Rita is also a dula. She has facilitated the many elements of pregnancy and delivering babies several times. For those who know her, she LOVES babies more than her immense affinity for people and animals. It is this unique knowledge and experience that makes her so popular with expecting mothers for massage therapy.

It is these attributes along with her lovable “Miss Congeniality” personality and her effective technique that makes clients frequently say over and over that Rita is the best massage therapist they have ever been to.

Clara Santos RMT

Clara has been a practicing massage therapist since 2005. Her experience covers spa and resort settings, as well as the rehab, multi-disciplinary clinic nature of Renew You. She is known as Renew You’s gentle and warm soul.

While her ability to help you relax or to work deeply into your aching muscles is great, she is repeatedly sought after for her adept ability to deliver…. SILENCE during your treatment. While she is certainly talkative, she is not “gabby”. If you have found you like massage, but your therapist talks through your ability to deeply relax and truly enjoy it, you will love Clara.

Clara has unusually strong hands and fabulous upper body strength for effective deep tissue work. Whether you only want a relaxation massage, a de-stressing session or are rehabbing an injury, Clara’s massage is superb. When she joined Renew You’s staff in the spring of 2006, she got busy right away and built up regular clientele very quickly – both true measures of effective high quality massage therapy work.
